Pros:
The brand new course at KSU Tuscarawas is ready for play!
+ Each hole has a solid tee sign and new, colorful Mach 5 baskets. I like the black squirrel decal on the top of the baskets. Simple, but cool touch (black squirrels are a storied species in KSU lore).
+ Despite being pretty open and simple, the deep creek that cuts through the fairways on #6 and #9 makes these holes much more interesting than they would be otherwise.
+ The property is maintained very well.
Cons:
- The layout is good considering the land available, but several holes are lackluster, to say the least. #3, #4, and #5 are wide open with no obstacles.
- No designated tee pads are present at the time of this review. Just signs.
- The creek is deep and murky, so it may be difficult to retrieve discs.
- #9 doesn't loop back to #1.
Other Thoughts:
KSU Tuscarawas serves its purpose as a recreational course on a small college campus. There are multiple pars on each tee sign to cater to beginners and more experienced players alike.
I definitely wouldn't call this a bad course by any stretch, but it's pretty forgettable and blends in with many other niner's that I've played.
