Well-kept park/forest course 2+ years drive by

Reviewed: Played on:Jul 30, 2013 Played the course:5+ times

Pros:

[+] The tees, signage and baskets are all in excellent condition. Every tee has a signpost with a map of the hole, the rules of the hole, its distance and the par.
[+] There is an extra basket next to the tee of the first hole for people who wish to practice putting.
[+] The scenery is quite beautiful. The course starts in a park behind a church and continues into a forest. There is a river nearby.
[+] The center of the city is only 4 blocks away.

Cons:

[-] Sometimes you need to mind the park visitors, since there are no clear warnings about disc golfers. It is a minor annoyance and only present on a few of the holes, though.
[-] There are a couple of places where you need to mind the other disc golfers, since some of the holes cross paths a little. This is a minor annoyance as well, and only present at a couple of holes on crowded days.

Other Thoughts:

> Shortest hole is 56m / 183 ft, longest is 98m / 321 ft.
> The course is good for beginners, even though some of the forest holes are quite challenging due to the thickness of the forest.
> The first four holes are quite easy, since they stay in the park.
> The next three holes are in a thick forest and therefore a little bit harder.
> There are two holes with water hazards. Most seasoned visitors of this course have sunk some of their discs there.
> After the fourth hole, people new to the course may jump straight to the ninth hole, since it is right next to the fourth hole. However, one should follow the path into the forest after the fourth hole to reach the fifth hole. There is a map of the course near the tee of the first hole as well as near the basket of the fourth hole.
> The course has no mandatory paths(mando), but several of the holes have designated out-of-bounds areas.
