Pros:

The local club has taken it upon themselves with help from the city of Somerset Center to really turn this course into something special! In May 2016 the course had the next 9 baskets installed, turning this into a very nice 18 hole course.

-Very nice park
-18 pins
-5x10 concrete tees at each hole
-Great use of land
-Nice elevation
-New baskets (18 new kingpin baskets, green tops blue bottoms)
-Basketball, Tennis courts close to hole 1 brings a lot of attention to disc golf (have had a lot of people start playing because of this)
-Great mix of tough/challenging and easier/shorter holes
-Has one set of tees marked with signs
-Has some long tees currently being played at league
-Beautiful views of McCourtie Park throughout
-Johnny on the Spot Bathroom

Cons:

This course has only been in the ground about a year, so it's still pretty rough. But the local club have been working hard to raise money for the new pins and have been clearing and cleaning as much as possible to make the experience great! With 18 holes (9 new) there will still be rough to start, as I have seen and helped out. So some of the cons are to be expected.

-Rough can be very rough
-Hole 1 by tennis, basketball course (pro as in it can bring attention to the sport, con being it can get a little noisy around hole 1)
-Not a ton of parking space

Other Thoughts:

I've seen the club members in charge of the course and putting the next 9 holes in the ground. The holes are in, making this an 18 hole course now! May 26,2016. They've been clearing and getting ready for 18 holes soon! As a club they've achieved getting the next 9 pins and are currently raising money for concrete tee pads. They have fundraiser discs for this course and are expecting to add an additional 9 holes turning this into a 27 hole course hopefully by spring of 2017.
