Pros:
There is a huge amount of potential here. In fact, potential alone is saving this abysmal excuse for a course for being a 0.0.
The nine baskets sit scattered around a large lake in the middle of a master planned community. The baskets are weaved through the large amount of medium sized trees all around the lake.
Some of the baskets sit fairly close to the water adding a little bit of risk on some shots.
The baskets play all the way around the lake, which makes it a very scenic walk on a nice day! (Okay, I am just stretching the pros at this point)
Cons:
Notice in my pros I never used the word "holes" and instead used "baskets" in its place. That is because there are no holes here. There are simply nine baskets scattered throughout the park.
I saw a couple high schoolers and they asked me where we start at for the course. Being my first time, I hoped they knew, but they said they come every day and have no idea of any things since there are no tee markings, or numbers on the baskets. There is nothing to show any discernible resemblance of a course here.
With the course being so close off the Grand Parkway, there is almost a definite chance you would have to pay a toll to get here, which let me tell you, that would be the biggest waste of a $1.50 you could ever do if you are planning to come here.
Other Thoughts:
This piece of land has a ton of potential to be a solid course. It gives off the vibe of First Colony Aquatic Center down in Missouri City with the lake in play, a few scattered trees. Without tee markings, or numbers on the baskets these baskets will not and should not get any good use as it simply is not worth coming out here.
There are plenty of good courses in the north part of the Houston area that are far more superior than playing here. If you do find your way here, I recommend playing a little safari golf as it will give you the most of the baskets.
