Pros:

Linear park has a good mix of short, moderate, and longer holes. A few holes require a shot to be shaped in order to score well. A few dog leg right and left holes as well. When the sidewalk is used as OB this course becomes more challenging. This is a good beginner/intermediate level course however there is something here for everyone.
Threat of disc loss is very low here as there aren't any water hazards etc.
The holes here are open for the most part so this is a good course to work on improving your distance.
Hole 4 has a nice gap to be hit off the box and hole 5 the basket is up on top of the tornado shelter. A few holes are birdieable, hole 6 and 18 come to mind.
Multipurpose park so there are other things here for the family to do as well.
Signage is adequate and the tee pads are ample.

Cons:

Hole 1's basket is in a row of pine trees and there isn't much of a gap. Often times its poke and pray to get your par. Also the area under the pine trees has water in it from time to time. Just a bit of a head scratcher on the pin placement here.
*Road is close to holes 6 and 18. Please pay close attention to that before you throw
*The bike/walking path comes into play on several holes. You will need to look before you throw as its often busy. This is a shared park so please be respectful.
*Hole 10 is a blind hole so please see above and make sure it's safe to tee off.
*The baskets here are set too low and you will need to make adjustments. Not all but most are set too low.
*The hard pack around the tees can get slick and that in turn leads to mud on the tee pads, making for slick footing. This is especially true on holes 11 and 12.
*Hole 6's tee sign appears to be missing.

Other Thoughts:

This course has undergone a few changes here and there due to some playground equipment being installed after the course was in the ground. Hole 1 tee is just east of the tornado shelter where hole 5's basket is. This course gets a decent amount of traffic from new and seasoned players alike. More advanced players can easily shoot under par here if they can stay OB free. This course is a bit more forgiving than say Cowskin up road but they are also 2 different style of courses. Linear Park is a good course to introduce the game to someone new or grab a few friends for a quick 18. There is something here for everyone and Linear Park appears to have hit the mark with its intended audience. It's nice to see more courses installed in city parks and I'm sure the disc golfers of the Wichita metro area are pleased with this recent addition.

Pros:

They made great use of the very limited space that was available for this course. Some of the holes are pretty plain, but almost every hole has some structure that comes into play. The OB is around in a lot of spots and adds a real challenge to kick things up a notch. Distance was also used effectively on a couple of holes to add difficulty, and hole 10 and hole 17 are both longer than most people are able to throw off the tee. Good tee pads, good baskets, good signage. Another thing that I have noticed is that it gets squishy when it rains, but it is pretty playable after a heavy rain. I have also never played out there when it hadn't been mowed in the last several days.

Cons:

It's a bit plain, but this is Kansas. It also comes very close to being in conflict with lots of public areas. Playgrounds, walking paths, water park, ball diamonds, parking lots, and roads all come into play for poor throws. Only 1 tee and 1 basket placement, so no way to add variation to a round.

Other Thoughts:

This is a course that will be good for beginners, but has enough challenge to keep the experienced players interested. Under par rounds are there to be had, but they have to be earned. Overall a very solid addition to the Wichita area course list.
