Pros:
* New concrete tee pads.
* Great for beginners as there are open shots and it's all flat.
* Does have some challenging shots for advanced players.
* All grass, a novelty in Tucson.
* Easy to get to, near many restaurants for that after play refreshment.
* Usually not busy with very few other players on the course.
Cons:
* No restrooms.
* I don't think the sole water fountain works anymore.
Other Thoughts:
This course also has B pads. I think it is underrated. It is in our regular rotation of courses here in Tucson and is an enjoyable course.
You've got a long hazard for #3 through #9—the wall. If you go over the wall you have to jump it to get your disc. The other side of the wall is the mall parking lot, but more immediate is the roadway around the parking lot which lends to the "car hazard" of getting your disc ran over. Playing in the mornings before the mall opens is your best bet when there is no traffic. There is also a substation with a very high impenetrable wall. You wouldn't want to go in there anyway. Some lose their disc to the substation. You might get it back as we do have a contact who occasionally goes in to fetch discs. The downfall is sometimes he goes in for maintenance and gets the discs and just leaves them in a pile outside the substation.
