Short stuff

Reviewed: Played on:Oct 31, 2023 Played the course:once

Pros:

Rounds will play quickly here.
Disc loss should be very low here.
A good place to introduce the game to those new to the sport.
More advanced players could work on putter only rounds while newer players should feel good about their scores.
Many of the holes are aceable.
Hole 6 has quite possibly the world's narrowest triple mando.

Cons:

Hole 1's basket is directly beside the fence and plays over the entrance road. Safety concern for sure.
Hole 7 plays very close to the same entry road.
The tees and baskets are very close to each other. If you were using this for a class and the students were spread out there would be many safety concerns.
Not much variety on this course, many of the holes are wide open and boring.

Other Thoughts:

I'm all for entry level courses and courses that grow the sport at the ground level, however those courses still need to have thought put into the design. True there isn't much to work with here, as it's an open field for the most part. However the #1 rule in designing a course is safety. The tee pads and baskets are too close to each other. Now for every day use this shouldn't be an issue as I'm sure more experienced players will choose to play elsewhere, but it feels like they just crammed 7 holes into a space where maybe 4-5 holes would've accomplished the same thing. It's not a bad course and I'm sure for it's target audience it does its job. I just feel they missed out on making this course the best it could be.
Not a destination course by any means but a good place to hone some putting and upshot skills.
