Millsite Course Improvments Are Helping! 2+ years

Reviewed: Played on:Oct 12, 2015 Played the course:once

Pros:

The Millsite DGC sits in a fairly small area bordered by the RR tracks one side and the rushing waters of the creek and river on the other. The land is typical river bottom, scattered trees, minimum bushes.

Recent improvements have been the pouring of nice new concrete tee pads. The posts are set for the tee signs although the signs aren't up as of October 2015.

The course plays as an intermediate level, IMO. It's more than just a Rec course. There are enough trees in strategic places on most holes to force you to hit your lines. Missing the lines will result in a stroke nothing more as there isn't much rough in the middle course.

As other reviewers have noted, # 9 shines on this course with it's beautifully constructed elevated tee pad. Much work went into it's construction. Thank you for those who participated in the building of it. It is the showcase piece here.

Cons:

9 more holes would be nice.
Really, there's nothing too glaringly wrong or missing here.

Other Thoughts:

This is just a nice solid little course. It doesn't overly excite but then again, it doesn't terribly disappoint. Kind of like your wife of 20 years!
It's a nice little pit stop on the I-5 corridor.

Other Thoughts:

Nice little course! Course is between the railroad tracks and the river. First few holes are along the tracks and then zig zags back. Hole #9 is the signiture hole where they have elevated the tee and you are throwing at the hole near the bridge. Signage could be better but we had little trouble figuring the course out. I can tell that a lot of work has gone into this new course and the concrete pads were nice. The designer of the course really got the most out of this small piece of land. The elevated tee pad was a great idea. I really enjoyed playing here and I am very glad we made the stop.

Pros:

Cons:

Very muddy and Black berries on hole 8 they are making paths to the next tee. it can be a bit confusing but fun.

Other Thoughts:

I have played in a tourney here and it was awesome overtime it will be a great course. Play for sure.
