Mini Disc Golf! 2+ years drive by

Reviewed: Played on:Mar 31, 2018 Played the course:once

Pros:

This was my first mini dg experience. The owner of the course, Linc is a super nice guy and is kind enough to take the time out of his day to play with you and show you the different holes and different course layouts he has on his mini dg course. I forget which layout we played but it was great nevertheless. He had alot of cool holes complete with ob, water hazard, elevation changes, throwing over his house!! With every hole being different it did not get boring!

Cons:

The only con really is that is a private course and you can't play on it whenever you want.

Other Thoughts:

Discovering the world of mini DG was definitely something to experience. For anybody that loves disc golfing I highly suggest you try it.

What a cool setup! 2+ years drive by

Reviewed: Played on:Mar 31, 2012 Played the course:once

Pros:

My first Mini DGC experience, so I rate it a solid 4. Interesting how the mini courses differ from the big courses.

- Cool layout. Talk about taking advantage of the area. Linc had crammed one heck of a cool course into his yard. Some really wild holes, including "big arm" shots.

- Use of water with the rive deep in his back yard is cool.

- Ground holes, a different thing with mini -- is cool, too.

- Creative holes. It makes you think about your shots because there is OB and "island" greens.

Cons:

- Pads (a few). Without being with the owner and others, I wouldn't have known where to shoot from!

- Some of the OBs can really hurt you (scoring wise).

Other Thoughts:

This is a creative place. And being it was my first date with a mini course, one I'll remember. Enjoyed playing here. Hopefully you get to play with the owner, too -- he's quite the character! An enjoyable round here and I look forward to playing here again on my next trip to the area!

Mushroom Manor Mini Disc Golf Course 2+ years drive by

Reviewed: Played on:Sep 7, 2010 Played the course:5+ times

Pros:

Very interesting mix of holes and OBs. Makes for a very challenging and fun game play. Several course layouts available with each being unique. I am also a Mini Disc Golf Course owner and feel that owner of the Mushroom Manor MDGC, "Linc Morgan" has done a FANTASTIC job with the course layouts. It is always a pleasure to play with Linc at the Mushroom Manor Mini Course. We play there every 3rd Thursday of the month from Jan-Dec. at 6:00 pm. Wait till you see the "IRON SPORES" basket. Very creative and fun. Good for beginners and Pros alike.

Cons:

Like mine, it is a private course and you must call ahead to play.

Other Thoughts:

The Mushroom Manor Mini Disc Golf Course is a Premier Mini experice in the purest meaning of the phrase. Linc Morgan is a dedicated promoter of all things Disc related and has been a driving influence in Mini Disc Golf and the Mini Disc Golf Federation for many years. I am glad to call him "Friend". respecfully Submitted, Donnie Brooks MDGF#.00001

FUN ON SHROOMS 2+ years

Reviewed: Played on:Jul 18, 2010 Played the course:2-4 times

Pros:

- Easy to navigate with map
- Excellent baskets and interesting Mini GTs
- Loaner discs available at the start of the course(make sure to return them)
- Well mantained and landscaped property
- Great mix of challenge from over water to OB areas, and a variety of hole types.
- Lights up for night Mini DG

Cons:

- no Hole info or visible navigation on the course, need map

Other Thoughts:

This is rated against other Mini DG courses.

I spent the day in Lancaster so I played all the mini and full sized courses in the area and this one was one of the funnest courses over all that I played that day. I got to meet and play a round with the owner Linc Morgan and what a great guy he was. The course is layed out through Linc's yard and it's fantasticly landscaped. The tee stones could be more visible but after a round or two they were easy to find. He had drawn me a map in case he wasn't there but after one round it wasn't needed. I really enjoyed the course as it uses his entire yard to make some great holes with an interesting mix of shots. The OBs add a great touch to the course making thinks a bit more challenge on a few holes, like the stream down the right side on two and the island green on 8. It really balanced a few more technical shots with some that are fairly open, but it is still a great course for beginners and kids as well. Linc also got a little creative with his signature Iron Spores basket and his Mini GTs(ground targets). The Mini GTs are a fun new alternative which make it play a little bit more like ball golf.

This was a great course and a really fun time. Makes me want a mini course in my back yard.
