Pros:
Well, there's baskets, think I found 5 or 6.
Map provided at campground office.
Very convenient right off Hwy 17, W of 526.
That's about it!
Cons:
The baskets are old, single chain portables.
The course map indicates where the tees are, I think that was the only way to figure out where the tee were, since I saw no other markers.
One of the first holes was across the front yard of a nice house, I'm guessing it's the campground owner's house.
Three of the baskets were randomly placed in a grassy area that looks like overflow parking in the busy season.
Oh yea, it was $2 to play this "course".
Other Thoughts:
I'm guessing this course was set up as an amenity for campers staying there, and they charge $2 to non-campers, "to keep the traffic down", HAHA.
The last hole is laid out pretty well, tee in an open field, through a gap in some bushy trees, to a fairly well guarded basket, huge tree (maybe the namesake Oak tree?) with moss hanging off beside the basket.
Unless you're staying at the campground, this is just a course for course baggers to ring up another one. I wouldn't even bring a beginner here, its such a sad effort. I wasn't even going to bother, but there is no longer a course at Haut Gap MS, and I wanted to get another one in.
