Pros:
This a well maintained 9 basket course in a recreational park known as God's Acres on the property of Zion Lutheran Church. The church relies on donations for the upkeep of the park and course. The fairways were mowed. All of the tee areas are clearly marked with a sign that displays the par and distance. The design of the course makes it easy to navigate. The baskets are in good condition. Beautiful park and course that features pine trees. There are no water hazards.
Cons:
There are no tee pads. Cornfields may come into play on #6, #7, and #8 if a strong armed player makes an errant throw with the use of a driver. As with most courses in Minnesota, this course may have a mosquito problem due to the surrounding vegetation during summers with average to above average rainfall.
Other Thoughts:
Zion Lutheran Church did an excellent job with designating a portion of their property for the use of the disc golf course and recreational park. The park also includes a playground and volleyball court. The property is in a rural area in central Otter Tail County. There are lots of large lakes in the vicinity. There are deer in the park. The course can easily be played with the use of a mid-range and putter. None of the baskets are suitable for the use of a driver.
