Pros:
This course has a variety of shots, some wide open, and some narrow technical shots. For those who do not enjoy hills, this course is completely flat. For those who enjoy throwing over bodies of water, most of the fairway for #14 is over a pond. Experienced and pro players will primarily use putters and mid-range discs for the course.
Cons:
The course and park are located on a flood plain. The Meramec River, located approximately a mile from the course, has been known for severe floods every several years. A creek that runs along the border of this course flows into the Meramec River, and this creek may cause the course to flood. The soil type of this course is a rich, river flood plain type of soil that will likely become marshy following a heavy to moderate rain, and will likely support a healthy flying insect population during the late spring and early to mid summer.
Other Thoughts:
The course provides another option for players in the Franklin County and Saint Louis metropolitan area.
