Pros:
This course has a good mix of open, guarded, short and moderate length holes. There are few holes that have water threat and some that have guarded baskets.
The signage is adequate and the flow is logical. This course uses the present elevation and the landscape well.
There are other amenities here like a restroom, basketball goal, pond etc.
This is a good beginner/intermediate level course with pretty decent shot variety.
Hole observations:
1-3 play on top of a hill with baskets semi-protected.
4-downhill with the basket next to a creek.
5-is a low ceiling shot with a group of trees upon approach.
6-has a pond on the right hand side and the basket is guarded.
7-open with a creek on the right.
8 and 9-are low ceiling shots that play across the creek.
Favorite holes here were 4, 5, and 8.
Cons:
The walking path comes into play on a few holes so safety first.
Tees might wear or rut over time.
There needs to be a bridge or a plank to assist in the crossing of the creek on hole 9.
Wind will factor in on the first half of the course.
I don't recall seeing any trash cans, but the course was virtually litter free.
Other Thoughts:
Overall this is a fun 9 hole course in a small city park. There is a little bit of every kind of shot here, from short to moderate length, low ceiling to water carries, to open to protected pin.
There really aren't any technical holes here but there are some good lines to be shaped on a few holes. This is a good course for those new to the game that are wanting a bit of a challenge but don't want to be frustrated. Intermediate players will also find something here to help improve their game.
Worth a stop if you are passing by and want to get a quick nine in.
