Pros:

Peoria YMCA DGC is a fun little 9 hole course that wraps around the property, starting and ending about as close together as possible. The course is permanent and free to play. Probably not to busy most of the time with all the other great options nearby.

The baskets are nice white MVP's. It says they're Black Hole Portals on here. I could've sworn they were actually Gravities, but I could be wrong. I also don't really know what the difference is between the two. Either way, these were all in great shape and caught nicely. They had large orange flags running up the pole and sticking out the top to make spotting them even easier. No complaints with these whatsoever. One pin position per hole.

The tee pads are concrete. All of varying sizes for some reason. These ranged from nice to rather pointless depending on the length. One tee per hole.

The course plays mostly open, but there are a few trees to contend with at least. There's some subtle elevation throughout too, though it's still pretty flat for the most part.

The course is a good place for newer players and families to learn the game. It's still a fun course for more experienced players, but if you throw far you'll be throwing all putters and mids here usually. I do not throw far so I'll probably enjoy it more than others.

The tee signs are well done. They feature a nice hole map, hole number, par and distance. Really nice looking signs with all the info needed. Well done with these.

Cons:

The tee pads are probably number one for me. The first tee is tiny, it doesn't really allow you to do any kind of run up at. They seem like they get progressively larger as the round goes on which is odd, but also appreciated.

The distances are all under 300 if I recall correctly. Hole 5 is probably the longest hole. The rest all feel pretty similar in length to be honest. Gets a little repetitive after a few holes.

All the holes are just straight ahead. It'd be nice to have at least one hole that bends one direction or the other.

Other Thoughts:

This is basically just your standard little pitch and putt course. But it's still a fun course and definitely worth playing at least once. I'd play this one quite a bit if I lived nearby, especially in the winter.

Not worth any kind of trip out of your way or anything like that. But worth a stop if you find yourself nearby or are short on time. I'd probably rate it around 1.75 if I could but with the nice baskets, signs and decent tee pads on the second half of the course I'll bump it up to a 2.

Pros:

Very Easy Course by far the easiest course in the area

Cons:

The maintenance guys park their trucks right on the fairway of the 7th hole

Other Thoughts:

Would like to see them change the pin placements at some point to mix up the play of the course.
