I read the reviews of this 9 hole course before I ventured out on a Sunday morning . According to the reviews , I was going to encounter a pitch and putt course that goes back and forth with some blah lines . I think the park must be ever improving , because some thought AND money has gone into it . First , driving in , park in the small parking lot at the right side of the park . The kiosk is over there , slightly up to the right is the first tee . The tees are now cement and trapezoid shaped . . There is even an alternate longer tee on #3 , making the hole 379' . The Course has new green prodigy baskets ,It looks like there are a couple of alternate pins on the course . I saw a couple of plugs ( one on the right of #9 , sitting on a large rock ) and those smaller wood posts with the nice tee signs that wrap around the post and give you the hole # , distance , and path . These signs seem to be popular in the Knoxville area .The unique and noticeable feature on this course are the numbered large flags that stand up in the ground about 6' tall somewhere close to the pin .Strange but kind of cool . The park is well taken care of as it is shared with many locals that bring their dogs to the dog park adjacent to the disc golf course . The course has no length at all , mainly pitch and putt , except for the #3 long tee and maybe #4 & #9 , but some of the baskets are well placed and will make you angle for a birdie putt . There is little to no elevation on this course , but that might be a plus for locals , older players , or families . The course plays so short that there are only a couple of main places that you could lose a disc . I figure that there is a bathroom here , but I forgot to look for one . The course is a quick play , in and out , and should be completed solo in less than 30 minutes . #1 is a short slight downhill toss 254' that plays like a 200 footer, and is flanked by brush on the right side and back . . After you finish up, and are facing the basket , walk to your left over a dry little creek to #2 on your right . Basic short 258' with a tree to its right to guard it . #3 will be to the path on your left .The basket is hidden and tucked to the left , just beyond the brushy tree line . Then the course opens up some and you see tees and baskets everywhere . Walk upwards a little to the right and not to the #8 tee pad directly in front of you . #4 , ( 321' ) will throw back the other way from #3 and hyzer some to the pin which is protected by a direct assault with heavy brush .You step out and return backwards a little to #5's tee , a 254' but pretty straight . #6 goes the same way but longer . #7 spins you the other way but is listed as the shortest hole ( 239' ) . I thought that #8 was actually longer than listed , it has a good pin placement , guarded by brush around it . You walk to your left , close the the dog park line , and #9 tee goes back toward the #'s 2 & 3 fairway . it is wide open until you get to the basket The basket can either play left , hidden next to deep brush , or right , on top of the rock . There are no real signature holes on this course , but it is a fun play, great for newbies , casuals , families and better players interested in working on different aspects of their game . This is a park where you might like to sit in after a round or two and relax at a bench . The park is THAT NICE .

I don't want to carve on this course with cons The course is only 1 yr old and it t looks like it is ever improving and may be a better design and more amenities before the summer is even out . I think the pin placements were good , . The tee pads were a little bunched up on the middle holes 4 thru 8 and could confuse some . The traffic in the park with walkers and dog owners , but the locals seem friendly and don't consider disc golfers a nuisance . Be careful when throwing off the tee . No trash receptacles or benches , but the course plays so quick none needed . Carry out what you carry in . Little to no elevation , but that isn't the park's fault . This would be a birdie fest for good players , but I don't think that they are the intended draw . When you have time , Plumb Creek Parks , please put a map online . It is helpful to us out of towners or first time players .

The course designer didn't have a lot of area to work with , but I think this local city park course is a keeper . Obviously someone in the city council or parks department knows ( or knows someone who does ) a little about disc golf . There must be interest here because in a short time , gravel tees became nice cement tees , a couple of alternate pins & an alternate tee and flags were added . If I lived close by , I would certainly go to this course . There were several players on the course when I was finishing up , A nice clean park , relaxing play , and a quick round . Thank You , Plumb Creek , for promoting disc golf and putting together a fun and well equipped course .

Good course for developing and practicing basic skills. Some of the holes offer a good challenge for new players while also helping develop skills. The park seems to be doing a lot of work to improve the course such as filling in holes and improving the tees.

This course is probably to easy and simple for serious disc golf players. Very few of the holes are long distance or require much significant skill to birdie.

If you are going to this course for a challenging round of disc golf you will be disappointed. If you are going to just throw around and practice or to introduce some friends to the sport it fulfills those roles nicely.
