Pros:

The course starts and ends (1 through 5 and hole 9) on the east lawn in front of the athletic building. You cross the street for holes 6-8 behind the east side of the football field bleachers. Natural tees here but that's fine for this seasonal course. They had pretty solid tee signs on all the holes here. They are colorful with the schools mascot on them, the hole number and distances. Really all the info that you need on them. The flow for the course is pretty easy to figure out even without a map. The baskets are DGA's that catch nicely. All except hole 8 were in great shape. The course is free to play and was in good shape when we were there. A little creek comes into play down near the pin on hole 8. Also it was raining all day when we went and the drainage ditch behind 3 and running down the fairway on 5 was over ankle deep. I'm sure it dries pretty quickly but worth mentioning. The course is mostly flat with hole 6 having really the only elevation change albeit slight. If for some reason they didn't have the signs up the map on this site is accurate, just a little hard to read.

Cons:

The course is great for what it is, a course for the students on campus. But there's just nothing overly exciting about it. The base of hole 8's basket was all messed up and wouldn't stay upright. Not really sure what happened to it. Also as mentioned in the other review, there is goose droppings all over the place here. I mean everywhere, all over the sidewalk even. Other than that not much else.

Other Thoughts:

Nothing to go out of your way for by any means but can be played in around a half hour or so if you're interested. There's 2 other decent 9 hole courses within about 5 minutes of here as well. East park and Slatterly park.

Good Beginner Course 2+ years drive by

Reviewed: Played on:Apr 20, 2014 Played the course:once

Pros:

Course is in an open area with some trees coming into play. Distances of the wholes provide a good challenge for beginners and experienced players. Hole 7 is a blast with a long, downhill shot next to the road. BIG DRIVES!

Cons:

There are no tee boxes, I just played from the previous holes' basket, at least this was how it seemed to play. Hole 8 has water on the north side of the basket, leaving players to back track to get to the actual putting area. For the space designed of the course, seems like they could have done a better job laying out or identifying holes. Holes 6,7, and 8 had a ton of goose poop. Bring shoes you wouldn't mind getting dirty.

Other Thoughts:

I've went to several courses not knowing how they played and managed to get through most holes ok. Even with the digital map file available on DGCR, some of the holes were confusing. Overall, this is an ok course, especially if you are just learning how to disc golf.
