Fun 9 hole course in Kernersville, NC 2+ years drive by

Reviewed: Played on:Apr 8, 2019 Played the course:5+ times

Pros:

I've played this course a lot in the last 14 months, and it is great for getting in a quick 9 holes, or going around multiple times. It's good for practicing approach shots and putts. It's a nice walk (a little over 1/3 mile), and a fun course. With 7 of the holes being in the 150-200 ft range, an ace is achievable, but there are enough trees that it can be a challenge too. It is a good beginner course, but enjoyable for a better player also.

Cons:

Being a short course limits the ability or need for long throws, so an advanced player will mostly need mid ranges and a putter.

Other Thoughts:

AceRace tournament was held here in September 2018.

Unique Wooded 9-Hole Course in Kernersville, NC 2+ years drive by

Reviewed: Played on:Mar 16, 2018 Played the course:2-4 times

Pros:

Course begins and ends with open holes, but is otherwise entirely wooded. Ideal for players interested in challenging, but not unforgiving, technical hole layouts. Short distances to the next tee boxes limits the need for lots of signage and minimizes the time of play needed for 9 holes. Can easily string several rounds together to mimic an 18-hole course.

Cons:

Lack of long holes will limit the need for distance and even fairway drivers, as most of the holes can be tackled with just mid-range and approach discs. Course neighbors currently keep several large dogs near the basket at hole 9. May wish to verify that they are in their cages before risking throwing your drive long or into the tree line onto their property (OOB).

Other Thoughts:

Course currently has a small supply of loaner disc for visitors to use; ideal for bringing along friends / family who may not be actively involved in the disc golf hobby. Also useful in simulating events which limits players to 1 or 2 unfamiliar discs (i.e. Trilogy Challenge).

Great course for a beginner 2+ years drive by

Reviewed: Played on:May 20, 2018 Played the course:2-4 times

Pros:

I really liked the fact that this course was easy to get to, easy to learn and play through quickly.

Cons:

As the trees get more leaves, could be harder to find discs lost in the woods if your discs tend to fly like mine do? :)
