Best played when the park isn't busy 2+ years

Reviewed: Played on:Nov 7, 2014 Played the course:once

Pros:

The course is a very well maintained course that was litter free upon my visit. New Innova Discatcher baskets and EXCELLENT signage.
There are toe boards at each tee with the hole distances on them.
There is a nice mix of short and moderate length holes here and some holes have Ace Run potential.
The flow is logical and rounds should play quickly.
There are a bunch of other amenities here like a playground, picnic shelter, basketball court, etc.

Cons:

Safety issues are present on several holes and some holes would be unplayable depending on the activity that was going on at the time of your round.
Hole 1 throws next to a gazebo and hole 4 wants you to throw thru the picnic shelter or go over the top of it.
6's basket is really close to a dugout and 9 wants you to throw over the outfield fence twice before you get to the basket.
There are no benches or trashcans on the course itself(not a big deal but some players like that option).
Not many trees to shape lines therefore wind will be a factor during rounds.

Other Thoughts:

This course is pretty limited on space. There are a few fun shots here and when the young trees mature on hole 2 it will be a nice tunnel shot. The park itself is new and looks great. I appluad the city of Reading for putting in another course not only for the local players but for all players. I understand you can only use what is available to you make up a course but depending on if there was a softball/baseball game going on or a big picnic in the park a lot of the holes wouldn't be playable.
This takes the course down .5 disc for me because I don't want to see someone or something get hit with a disc. Other than these safety issues this is a very nice 9 hole course in a small town.
Give it a play if you are passing through. Maybe you will have an answer for hole #9.
