Pros:
Good baskets and tee concrete tee pads on all holes. The course requires a good balance of accurate drives and distance drives. There are facilities nearby if needed.
Cons:
As others have mentioned, navigation is an issue here. As a regular traveler, I am used to playing new courses and learning my way around unfamiliar territory. However, I found this course to be extremely difficult to navigate- even with a navigation app. Even once a tee box was found, I was left guessing where the basket was due to multiple pin locations and limited sight due to vegetation.
I know it is out of the course's control, but the desert can eat up your discs pretty quickly.
Other Thoughts:
In my opinion, this course could improve greatly with a couple simple solutions.
Long flags/pins attached to baskets to improve visibility from tee pads.
I may have missed it, but I could not tell what position the pins were in from the tee pad. If there was some type of notation of this on the signs, that would help to locate many of the already blind tee shots.
While locals may not find this review helpful, I am writing this for those who may not be from town. Personally, I would not go through this experience again. If it is the only course you can make it to, have at it, otherwise try to find another solid local course where you can focus on your play rather than finding the next hole. If you do decide to play, be patient and try to find a local to show you the ropes!
