Revierpark Gysenberg 2+ years

Reviewed: Updated: Played on:Jun 12, 2015 Played the course:2-4 times

Pros:

Revierpark Gysenberg is a really nice course for beginners or advanced players who
want to improve their game in approaching.
The tees (artificial turf) and the teesigns are really nice and well-built.
The course plays nice and fluently around the district-park and is perfectly maintained(!!!).
Hole #2 is really fun to play as the basket is placed on top of a small hill.
A few holes have some trees in play.
It's a perfect course for a quick round due to its length of 2434ft./742m.

Cons:

Just like Revierpark Wischlingen which is 25min away from this course, its almost
unplayable (whole course) on warm sunny days due to the residents using it for recreation etc. .
There is a playgroung close to 2 baskets and i saw a kid climbing on top of one.
For advanced players its just a course to play approach shots or maybe a fairway-driver
(at most).
Most holes are just open shots without any obstacles.

Other Thoughts:

The course is small but fine.
You play around the park, end close to Tee#1 and can go for another quick round.
The park offers a small family fun-fair with a kiosk that has discs for rental, a thermal bath a soccer-field, a place to play tennis, beach-volleyball and a climbing wall.
Due to other people using the park, the green in particular, this course is perfectly maintained. The grass is cut down really short.
Don't go there on sunny days or go there early when possible. Otherwise you wont be able to play whole rounds or even the majority of holes.
When cloudy or cold outside(low frequented) this course should be really fun to play.
