Pros:
Pros:
-Seems brand news, concrete tees look like they were just poured
-Baskets look new and most stand out easily
-Well designed for a small course outside a small town, with a few challenging holes
-Good, quick course for all players
Cons:
Cons:
-Tiny Course, with lots of lanes squeezed into a small place
-Some lanes are for beginners, others for advanced players (this could also be a pro)
-Kind of in the middle of nowhere, so bring a picnic and plan to play a few times unless you just happen to be driving by
-Hole 1 is a bit hard to find
Other Thoughts:
I was surprised how much I liked this course and I plan to play it again when it's warmer and greener. Hole 1 can be tricky to locate. There's no sign and it's buried in the woods on the western tip of the park. So basket 1 sits resting at the end of a good right hook through the trees. Basket 2 is a throw across the creek that runs through the park, not far but it's a bit nerve racking. Basket 3 is a direct straight line. Back across the creek, baskets 4 through 9 rest. 8 & 9 are longest and the number 9 basket sits elevated.
Savage Park sits off the first gravel road just north of town and can be seen from the highway.
