Solid object course 2+ years drive by

Reviewed: Played on:Apr 12, 2021 Played the course:2-4 times

Pros:

Surprising mix of shots to throw from the tees.

Use of large trees, boulders, and available elevation to make interesting lines to the target trees.

Cool, crisp air with a near constant breeze whooshing through the tall pines but at the same time calm enough where it's not interfering with every shot.

Peaceful and relaxing setting.

Lots of wildlife in the area.

Cons:

Typical object course concerns:

Tee areas are often uneven and unkempt.

Although most target trees have some hint as to the walking line to the next tee, you have to be diligent enough to find them and it's no a guarantee every hole has them. (I took notes on which holes had directions as I could find, and those will be posted below). All in all, I consider navigation a huge issue on this course and is it's largest detriment.

Target trees vary in their visibility from the tee - some have faded white spray paint you can barely see, some have white ribbon visible from a great distance (see Notes below).

No amenities at all which means no bathrooms, benches, trash cans, or signage. Please pack out what you brought in and keep the area clean!

Other Thoughts:

Parking @ 34.485754, -112.447194. First tee points across the road to the SE.

Holes tend to be on the shorter side so I'd say it's more of a technical course that benefits accuracy than a bomber that benefits the big arms.

This isn't a destination course and instead is a nice companion to the OG School House course, which this one encircles.
