Other Thoughts:

Courses like this one are a real treat to evaluate and review. I am basing the 2.5 rating as a comparative to what I've played over the years since that's my typical approach, however as a putters only course this is wonderful and very unique.

I've visited this course numerous times during weekly work visits to Shelby over the past 6 months or so. I've been able to play this course soon after initial installation and watched the improvements take place from baskets and tee pad flags to it's current state with signage, kiosk, additional parking, and overall hole maintenance.

It's a great 18 hole putters only layout taking you throughout a long and fairly narrow multi-use city park. For a fairly experienced player it offers reachable tee shots with your favorite throwing putters. Nice variety and mildly undulating terrain offer multiple shot selections throughout. After the first couple rounds I settled on carrying an overstable putter, neutral putter and putting putter....2-3 discs is really all you need. Mild elevation changes, some water throughout allow these short holes to be enjoyed over multiple rounds.

I like the Predator baskets with the shark fin on top pointing you towards the next tee. Navigation is a breeze, and you can play around this park quickly. First visit I had to drive around the park a couple times ultimately parking in the lot by the pool and playground and walking along the road down to Hole 1. Hole 18 finishes by the parking lot so it makes sense, just be aware there is a decent distance between the start and finish. I mostly played during the cool seasons so the park was never too busy, but I can see traffic being intense at times due to the multi-use park environment. You are surrounded by neighborhoods and roads so enjoy your round, but be conscious of activity around you.

As a pitch and putt style course, this is a gem and worth visiting if you ever find yourself in Shelby, oHIo. There are some full size courses in the Mansfield area to compliment this one for the local disc golf community. Recommended for full on putter fun!
