Looking for shade

Reviewed: Played on:Aug 24, 2023 Played the course:once

Pros:

Nice tee pads
Nice DD Tee Signs
Nice DD Vet baskets
Course was well mowed for the most part, at least the fairways were.

Cons:

Biggest one

The FREAKING TEE SIGNS ON IN THE TEE PADS. (see hole 1 tee pad picture)

Lack of shade on most of the holes. (ok, it was over 100 when I played it)

Other Thoughts:

This is your run of the mill small town course. It's not horrible, in decent shape, but it's not much of a course wither.

First thing you notice when you walk over to hole 1, the freaking tee sign is planted at the back side right of the tee pad, yep, right where I usually start my run up.

The fairways for holes 1, 2 and 9 are mowed short and the "rough" is not mowed. You want to make sure you stay on the fairway. The signs do not mark this as OB, but it could be played that way.

Holes 3 and 4 throw across a practice sports field.

Hole 5 is probably the most interesting, but shortest hole on the course. It's the only overgrown tee pad and throws down the hill though some tree's. It's under 200ft and you don't want to use more than a putter.

Hole 6 has OB road to the right and OB creak to your left. The poison ivy was pretty thick here, I was even warned about it by a city employee who actually helped me find my disc about 2 foot off the into the rough (it was an ace run for sure)

Hole 7 has the most large tree's of any hole. Still an easy turnover is the best shot.

Holes 8 and 9 are mostly open to very open.

and you are done.

This is a simple course that if you play good, you will shoot close to a 18. I took a stupid 4 on hole 1, then a circle 3 on hole 3. I still managed 4 down.

Would I play here again? No, I don't think so. It is not not an exciting course to play. It's a "one and done" course that you are not disappointed in, but don't want to play another round on.
