Pros:
I would have loved to have a DG course like this at my high school. Great variations of pin placement for a short course. This course has great potential to be a great short game course for beginner to intermediate players. There is room for alternate tee pads in the future.
Love the Disc catcher baskets with the arrows at the bottom indicating where to walk to find the next tee pad.
Tee pads are a mixture of artificial turf and decomposed granite.
For families, there is a play structure at the Community Recreation Center, 220 Coe Ave.
Cons:
No signage yet. There are metal posts installed on most of the tee pads, but no hole numbers. Baskets do not have numbers marked on them either, making it difficult to determine which hole is which.
No bathrooms at the course.
Other Thoughts:
The adult school yard was locked up tight on MLK Day. I was able to jump a lower fence and walk around to the DG Course and play. On the weekends or holidays, you may want to park on Wisteria Way. At the end of Wisteria Way, there was no gate or fence to contend with. I look forward to playing this course in the future and up my rating.
