A disjointed course in an idyllic park.

Reviewed: Played on:Jul 14, 2022 Played the course:once

Pros:

This is a recreational course with very few thrills but might be enjoyable for novices. The well manicured park offers postcard scenes that necessitate a picture or two. Small yellow posts indicate tee number and distance. Most baskets can be seen from the tee and some shots require a bit of shaping. The hllly terrain creates some minor obstacles but nothing to raise tension. The park offers other activities for the family such as a playground, sublime nature trails and a sports area.

Cons:

Disc golfers will be disappointed by highly disjointed course requriing long walks between five and six as well as seven and eight. The yellow tee posts are hard to find during your initial visit. A map of the course is posted down in the dale by the playground but that is a lengthy walk from tee one. Basket nine is at the other end of the course which does not wrap around back to tee one. The course appears to get little play so trying to use foot traffic to identify where the course is takes a bit of luck. Experienced players will not find much challange here.

Other Thoughts:

Finding this course can be a bit tricky. Players will have to locate the parking lot behind a gas station and find tee one which is over to the right. Pedestrians, scooters and robotic lawnmowers will cause wait times. If you are in the area and in desperate need for a disc golf fix, then play this course. The town of Struer and its harbor should be included in the visit.
