The course was well maintained, what one might come to expect from a ball golf course maintenance crew. Flow of the course was easy to follow and tee pads and signage were in good condition. And the staff was nice. I also liked that the kept the disc golf course isolated from the ball golf course. I have played a couple that share fairways and I always am a bit unnerved when playing on those types of courses. That is not the case here since they are on different parts of the property. There was a good mix of distances and while not lot of elevation changes, there was a enough to give me something to consider, even if it didn't actually change the disc selection.

I am from out of state and because there are plenty of free courses back home, so pay to play is always a con for me. Although when talking to a couple locals that I ran into on the course, it seems to be the norm in Maine. $5 didn't seem too bad for the day though. Hole 8 didn't seem like it had any defined line to get to the basket, but I guess with it being a par 4, it is possible the designer was trying to get players to throw for a landing zone, but that wasn't obvious to me. I also prefer concrete pads to the turf ones, but is purely personal preference and turf is better than just grass.

Being from out of state, I can't really compare it to other courses in the area. But compared to other 9 holes I have played elsewhere in the country it is definitely one of the better ones. With the exception of hole 8 the other par 4's seemed like they could be long par 3's but it didn't seem unreasonable to me to call them par 4. There was not a lot of shot shaping required, but most holes give you something to think about. Overall I believe that this course is set up that both beginners as well as experienced players can enjoy a round or two.
