A fun way to get back into disc golf. 2+ years

Reviewed: Played on:Jul 3, 2021 Played the course:once

Pros:

Pros for the course:

Easy to figure out the course once you get started.
Nice clean fairways with a few trees here and there.
Interesting home layouts.

Cons:

Cons:

A few pins were hard to see.
Holes 6 & 7 could be nightmares for new players. The name Tallgrass fits the park here.
Not necessarily the most beginner friendly but a worthy challenge or goal down the road.

Other Thoughts:

I took my son here for his first round of disc. It was also my first return course after a 15 year hiatus from disc. 6 and 7 were intimidating but we persevered none the less. I think this will be a course I will be returning to in the future to challenge myself.

Nicely laid out for the most part. We might do a modified 9 holes skipping 7 and replacing with a different hole just as a way to keep my son from losing discs.

Glad I have a short course near the house.

Practice in the Park 2+ years drive by

Reviewed: Played on:Sep 25, 2019 Played the course:once

Pros:

Fun little course that runs through a well maintained park. For the most part it is a short practice course, but there are actually a couple of more difficult holes sprinkled in (4 & 7). Brand new DGA baskets and large concrete tee pads are great.

I see some great opportunities to incorporate alternate tee pad locations for pro/am or an alternate 9.

Cons:

There are definitely some safety concerns with this course. Some of the holes (particularly 2,4, & 7) play across or near sidewalks that run through the park with basically blind shots. There was no one else on the course when I was there, but there were plenty of people in the park and on the sidewalks. I was being extra careful around these holes, but it definitely detracted from my overall experience.

Like others have mentioned there is absolutely zero signage or way-finding on the course (besides basket numbers). I was able to navigate the course easily with a map provided on the U-Disc app, but without that I imagine it would have been difficult to navigate.

Other Thoughts:

The course could be much better with a few improvements, but overall I enjoyed it. I wish more parks around the Denver metro area would incorporate these types of courses. Its a great way for beginners to get into the sport and for seasoned players to get a quick practice round in.

Above all else I believe the safety issues need to be addressed here. It would be shame for someone to get hurt or the baskets pulled because of one errant throw. It would really only take a few new basket locations and some signage and course would be a lot better off.

Executive course and practice area 2+ years drive by

Reviewed: Played on:Feb 5, 2019 Played the course:once

Pros:

Concrete pads
No geese poop

Cons:

Course is very short
Lack of signage

Other Thoughts:

This is a great short course for players who want to practice their short game and putting. Course goes around a large field, which can be used for driving practice as well.
