Pretty fun for a golf course, course

Reviewed: Updated: Played on:Jan 4, 2024 Played the course:once

Pros:

- Lots of little elevation changes up and down, rolling hills
- Tee pads are grass and even, they are the same as the golfers use
- A few ponds that are used in the layout, two water carries
- A basket guarded by trees for number 4 that is also downhill
- Good baskets in great shape
- Fairly easy to navigate even without Udisc
- The distances aren't crazy like on some golf courses
- Course starts and ends in the same spot, good flow
- Clubhouse with snacks, drinks, etc.
- Perfect course for working on rollers
- Lights for play after dark which is great in the winter
- Greens played as OB makes it more challenging

Cons:

- A little too open for my taste, it's on a golf course
- Not much punishment for bad drives unless you're trying to carry the pond
- $5 is cheap but for a quick round on a 9 hole course any amount more than $0 feels bad
- If there are golfers out there they get priority as the disc golf course follows the golf course
- A little confusing as to what is actually the disc golf tee pad

Other Thoughts:

They have a map laid out on Udisc that shows the exact tee off spot for disc golf but I didn't follow it as it's very close to what the tee is for golf. So what I did is tee off from one of the golf tees (red, white or blue) that looked the most exciting. Apparently there are multiple tee pads out here according to Udisc. I like the way I did it better lol.

When I was walking to the first tee a couple of the golfers in the driving range made fun of me for playing disc golf, that was an interesting take from guys who wear funky plaid sweat pants and collared shirts but whatever just know you might get heckled. I gave it to them right back and they laughed and gave me a look like I gained their respect. Oh Texas, I love you so much!
