The Farm is a true hippy haven, and I will try to return to camp out and take in a show some time. The disc golf course is fun, with a pond, pretty good elevation changes, wooded areas, and some unique scenery.

The first hole tees over a pond, downhill and mostly open. I kept my driver out of the stand of trees to the right, and it slid in about 20 to the rear of the pin. I made the putt, and it turned out to be my only birdie of the day (if you play every hole as a par 3). Hole 2 is longer and downhill even more significantly, still fairly open. I had a good drive, decent approach, and a look at a par putt there, but couldn't knock it down. 3, 4, 5, and 6 were decent holes with mature trees scattered around the fairways, and little change of elevation. 7 is wide open and pretty long. It is unusual, as it tees from a slightly elevated position on the large stage that is overlooking the field. 8 is on a moderate downhill slope and is a long drive over open grass to the pin. 9 and 10 are fun shorter holes, sloping a bit downhill through kind of heavy woods. 11 and 12 also played through the trees, and have some slope. Longer than 9 and 10, but still reachable for birdie putts. 13 and 14 are similar throws to hole 8, running downhill, mostly open, sort of lengthy. 15 is uphill and short enough to reach, with an interesting pin location above a rocky area with some brushy trees nearby. 16 will run a bit uphill, with a good tunnel line through the trees. 17 is a downhill drive that is not out of reach from the tee. A right to left hyzer can get you there, but you must steer around a couple of mature trees in the fairway. 18 is another big downhill drive. Tall trees line the right side mid fairway, creating an obstacle requiring a good flex shot if you prefer to throw RHBH. There is a fenced off area to the right side of the pin, so you can't turn it over too much (which I did).

The Jerry Garcia shrine is between the 15th basket and 16th tee. It is definitely a cool spot to take a minute and chill before finishing out a good round. My dog made the most of the shade underneath while I took a good look at it. You can also put your mark on the memorial and transmit a thought to those who will be setting their gaze here in the future.

The rubber mats on the tees were not consistently level or linked together. Tee signs were not hard to spot, but not full of info either. Several of the holes were pretty open, and a bit repetitive. Even if you make a good drive, there will be a mid range approach shot with little chance of a birdie.

There is a cost to use the property. The sign at the pay station said $5 for day use, which seemed fair to me. Not a lot of escape from the sun, save for the stage tee and the few wooded holes in the middle part of the layout.

The Farm was worth a few bucks. I was glad I took the detour for the scenic mountain drive, and got to see nearby downtown Eureka Springs. The kind of place I would love to spend some more time on a getaway. I will be looking for a reason to return and jam out a bit.

It would be nice to see upgraded tees and signs, but what they have is good enough for me. I shot a 57, and could have been under par if I converted on the birdie chances on the shorter holes. I missed putts on 9, 10, 11, 12 and 15, so the opportunities were there.
