Pros:

(2.374 Rating) A short technical layout with some quirky par 4s mislabeled as par 3s.
- ELEVATION FOR FLORIDA - Holes (3) and (4) were a total treat. Hole (3) is a rather striking up shot. The basket on this hole is perched on the edge an eroding sandstone and sandy outcrop. It brings in the rare Florida death role potential. The next hole is a really fun down shot with scores of trees protecting the basket from front shots and left side shots. After these two plays the elevation doesn't go beyond 20 feet in grade change, but this modest amount puts the View at around the 85 percentile mark in Florida for elevation.
- HOLE VARIETY - About average overall. Mostly short and technical with a couple twists. No water except standing and a dry wash, but as noted, some very noticeable elevation change including a 25-foot up shot and a 30-foot down shot.
- FUN FACTOR - I can fathom that numerous locals could enjoy the quirkiness and shortness of the layout. For skilled players who can putt (not me apparently), I could see 10 or more birdie putts falling on a good day. Aces will likely occur at twice the rate of a normal course. A couple holes towards the end are sub 150-foot mild technical plays. I also think the odds of losing a disc here is below normal and the search and recon potential is not epic bad.
- RAW BEAUTY - I scored this aspect around average among my current course bagging portfolio, 513 courses. I really enjoyed the first four or so holes and then also a couple on the back nine. The course maintenance for my play was not stellar and I also noticed what appeared to be small road construction waste dump areas a couple times.
- QUICK PLAY - My two some conquered this course in just over an hour.

Cons:

Being con'd into believing this is a 4.3 rated course from another app source.
- THE LAST FOURTEEN - I felt really good about this course after the first four holes. In my mind I was thinking easy an 3.0 and maybe even 3.25 quality type holes. Then the rest of the course happened, which is a layout littered with average holes some duds and some head scratchers. Hole (8) is moronic. The basket isn't even 100-feet away as the crow flies. Although the ludicrous half circle arc of the suggested flight path may be the 150-feet as noted on the tee sign. Holes (10) and (11) are nonsensical par 3s. Any birdies occurring on these two holes is likely a 100-foot plus throw in. These two holes require flight paths that don't exist. Lottery winners will have a field birdie chance while the masses will try to avoid bogey and beyond. There are also 2 or 3 dinkers toward the end of the layout to sour the round as well. I liked the skinny S line on (12) and I thought (18) was just an ok hole to finish on.
- LACK OF CHALLENGE - I shot 2 down here while still missing six putts inside 25 feet. This place will be a scoring bloodbath for higher skilled player and I was personally not inspired. Very little power required and most of the technical lines are too short. Yes there are a couple tough plays, like on the before noted holes (10) and (11), but these are luck holes. Any Advanced player that mistakenly shows up here will get about as much challenge as Einstein doing single digit addition. Overall a lower end Rec level course imo.
- MISSED OPPORTUNITIES - I think it's reasonable to conclude that the back nine is short and constricted due to not being able to cut down trees. If they are ever able to remove more trees and conduct a re-design effort, this could result in a really intriguing wooded course.
- PALMETTO BUSHES - The overgrowth in Florida and along the gulf seems to be quite a bit more diabolical over the northern courses I've played. Case and point is the palmetto bush, which is a plant that seems to have been sent by hell to slash and stab all disc searchers. Players need to keep a keen eye on where their disc goes to avoid unneeded searches.
- AMENITIES AND EXTRAS - Average or a touch below. One set of tees and one basket placement on each hole. Baskets are nice Veteran's and in great shape still. Tees are turf with decent leveling. There are bag hangers on the signs but no seating areas at the tees. The park also has restrooms, a working drinking fountain and a playground.

Other Thoughts:

I had heard great things and not so great things about this course coming in. The course also had a glowing start on the other unreliable apps rating wise, and thus my hopes were slightly up. Sadly this course didn't deliver the goods beyond an average experience in my opinion. I thought the course really fell flat on the second half with the dinkers and unrealistic lines. It's laughable that this was billed as a championship style course when it finished construction. I heard a rumor that more than one person is responsible for the design here. Whomever was responsible for the first four holes, two thumbs up and I hope they get an opportunity to do a whole course. As is, I couldn't recommend this course to vacationers. I'd personally rather replay Ferry, Chaindragon, DeFunk and Anderson Pond before here. Thanks to Mr. Butlertron for joining me early in the morning to get the round in. A good time as always sir.
- NAVIGATION AND SIGNAGE - Considering I had a guide, I did not pay very close attention to the navigation. It felt reasonable. A couple of the transitions felt tricky, but not too confounding. The signage is decent. They have an artistic picture of the line and seemingly accurate hole distances. The signs should of had next tee direction on them.
