Pros:
It is at a brewery. They give you beer AND you get to play disc golf.
Two tee pads per hole with nine baskets and the tees are just different enough to make it feel like 18 holes.
It is on an island.
Ok, look, this is basically a putt putt course - most of the holes are 150' - 200'. However, it is still a very difficult course to score on. Most of the fairways are 12' wide or less (notoriously holes 8 and 9 are like five feet wide!!!). What I love about this is, if you play a lot here, you will be ready for pretty much any upshot or scramble you could possibly come across.
There is a statistical likelihood of getting an ace anytime you go on the course, who doesn't love an ace?
It is on private property but you can play anytime regardless of whether the brewery is open. Glow rounds every Tuesday at 6:30 during the winter!!!
If you come here pretty much any afternoon, you are guaranteed to run into some Pleasure Island Disc Golf Club members who are all very nice people.
Very good usage of a relatively small piece of property - the layout is great.
Cons:
I mean, it is very short. Some would call it a putt putt course, but, it is still fun. You are guaranteed a few ace runs, which is cool.
Mosquitos can occasionally get bad on the island, especially after hurricanes.
Other Thoughts:
Disc golf at a brewery is a game changer.
