Friggin Awesome!!! 2+ years drive by

Reviewed: Updated: Played on:Sep 29, 2012 Played the course:2-4 times

Pros:

-"ball golf" style course, something i really look for in premier courses now, a la roy g
-challenging every type of shot and disc in your arsenal
-par 3, 4, and 5s
-increadible views/good ol hill country atmosphere, theres a sense of peace out there i maybe have only expierenced at one other course
-concrete tees, although kind of standard these days
-defined fairways
-OB and hazard challenges, yes im sadistic, this is a definate pro
-crazy elevation changes
-club house/pro shop, with pool table, couches, patio, big screen, beer, food, discs, WHAT?!?!?!?!?

Cons:

-keep an eye on errant shots and wear long pants or some solid long socks, rough can be thick and prickly
-come with someone course experienced, confusing layout with confusing flow if you dont know it, you will cross many seemingly random boxes and pins that you think you should be shooting at but turns out its not=at least a .5 point doc
-pay to play course, boo, but at the same time i understand why and you will too if you get the chance to play it
-lots of hard ground and rocks that can beat the heck out of your discs pretty fast=another .5 point doc

Other Thoughts:

A truly amazing course, championship calibur, great environment, challenging in every sort of way, if you havent played it yet, make a day of it and play all the courses you can out there

The Crown Course is the "Jewel" of Twin Parks 2+ years drive by

Reviewed: Played on:Nov 25, 2011 Played the course:2-4 times

Pros:

Really good challenges that spread across "The Shire" all the way into "The Hill" and gives you the benefits of both courses.
- challenging O.B. shots to test your placement
- good lengths on the Tees to test all skill levels for you or a group you may be with

Cons:

O.B. makers could be better defined/contrasted since the string areas tend to now be the same color as the surrounding terrain.

"The Hill" holes and paths could provide bettter direction to the next Tee box.

Other Thoughts:

This is the same challenging Crown Course that many of the Best Players in the World have played during the Players Cup and other recent events. Take a moment, spend some time, and come play this course to see what a great Central Texas World Championship Disc Golf is all about. Playing the same holes as some of the best players in world gives you a better respect for their talents and the inspiration that you also can be just that great.
