+ Clever use of park land. With a treeline along only one edge of the property, they've shaped holes by mowing reasonably wide fairways and left 2' - 3' deep rough to punish offline shots. Much of the layout is on a hillside, so there's a fair amount of elevation to consider. And wind.

+ The most interesting holes are at the beginning and end: #2 uses the treeline to hide the basket with a gradual left dogleg; #9 is very short but also pretty wooded

+ Hole #5 is a short wide open downhill, but the mowing has shaped a dogleg left into it. Wind can come into play, so you really have to think about release angle and height in order to bomb in at the basket. It's an ace run - but not without risk

- No tees, not even 2 x 4's in the ground marking the front of the teeing area like you often find at park courses like this

- The rough doesn't need to be this deep in order to shape the hole and punish your shot. Mowing it to shin level would do the job, while making discs easier to find and less of a hassle

- Even though the designers made the most of what they were given, they didn't have a lot to work with. It's still just "nine baskets in a field" that would get boring with repeated play very quickly

~ This is by no means a great course, but it is a great example of making the most of what you've got. It's nine fun holes with a lot of ace runs. Easy to play a quick round on the way to Wilcox to the North, Beacon, FDR or Leonard to the South. Or a good place to bring a learner
