Pros:

"Founded in the same year our country entered World War I by renowned golf expert Mrs. Gourtley Dunn Webb, the Washoe County Golf Course has a history as storied and colorful as the city in which it resides. Originally opened as a members-only club, Washoe turned public shortly after the depression. "

"The Shoe" is beautiful and maintained to perfection. I have played ball golf here a couple times and it is very challenging. Even from the blue tees.

As can be imagined, the quality of the course can be felt just driving on to the property and it does not disappoint. Everything that would be expected of a top shelf golf course is here.

The disc golf equipment is well maintained and the signage is great. And yes! it's possible to play it in the winter. In fact the local club hosts a winter time tournament so layer up, put on your water proof shoes and hit the links.

Cons:

Long. Bring a 400ft arm as there are only two baskets that at near the 300ft mark. Or, have a great upshot from 200ft.

The course length is "9740ft" but from the parking lot and back expect to put in about 3.75 miles of walking.
This is due to the distance between baskets and having to walk around the greens to avoid being hit by a golf ball. "LOOK BOTH WAYS" when crossing fairways.

Other Thoughts:

I didn't give it a five because as a disc golf course all the baskets are pretty straight and flat. Most tee shots are long hyzers.

I lost one of my favorite discs in the pond on #1.
On #7, I aim far to the right of the pond. It's 900ft so it doesn't add any strokes but it does eliminate the possibility of your disc getting wet. Left is a fairway.

Tees and Baskets on #1, #11 and #12 have been moved so they are not where Udisc has them.
#12 is 1/3 the way down the fairway on the right side up on the side hill. #12 basket is correct on udisc.

Best time to play is AM during the week and it's especially slow when it's raining. It does get slippery when wet.
