I'm not a fan of Houck design. 2+ years drive by

Pros:

Great signs. Big enough cement tee pads.

Cons:

Typical of Houck designs in that if you want to score well play safe. Drop offs behind baskets encourage safe layups. Creek near baskets-don't run at for fear of ob. One dimentional holes-one route. Short holes are too short, I threw putter from standing. Grass was very long. A few rather long walks to next tee.

Other Thoughts:

This is a nice park with high ground and some elevation but the course is in the flood zone.
