Pros:

Weyauwega Fremont H.S. DGC is located on the north end of the school property near where the trail system starts. Nine holes with dual tee pads on every hole to add a little more variety than you normal school nine hole. Many of these offer a pretty drastic change in the hole shape, the others are just pusher back a little bit.

There are tee signs at each tee pad. These are just 4x4's mounted to a post with the hole number on them. Many have a sharpied on hole "map", but not all of them. Most I'd say.

The baskets are new Mach II's. These are alright, not the greatest but they get the job done. All are still like new and none seemed to be mounted wonky.

The course features a mix of open and wooded holes, two open and seven wooded. The woods holes have some tight lines to hit with some tough rough in spots. They put hole 1's basket on a little mound tucked into a cluster of trees and hole twos basket pushed into the woodline a little too. Hole six from the long tee has a pretty epic water carry over the river too.

The tee pads are mostly natural, but there where a few turf ones mixed in in spots. These were all level enough and worked fine. It was very dry on my visit so I can't speak to how there are after rains or in the spring.

The course is permanent and free to play. Not available during school hours, but is up all year.

Cons:

The tee signs are lacking. Having a hole map would've been pretty useful in a number of spots. Most of them actually. The sharpie drawn ones didn't really do it for me. The numbers did pop out nicely at least.

Holes one and two feel like filler holes just to get you towards the more wooded part of the property. Well they didn't just feel like it, they are.

A little bit of a walk from the parking lot to the first tee. Nothing crazy but it's not obvious where to start without some wandering if you don't have Udisc. Hole nine also dumps you off quite a ways from the lot.

I wouldn't ever attempt the water carry on hole six without a spotter. Even then you'd be lucky to ever see your disc again. Beautiful looking hole but it needs to be cleaned out a ton to create some type of landing area. Cool idea, in theory. In reality is just a lost disc waiting to happen.

A couple of the approaches are ridiculous. The one hole has a couple pines in front of the basket. There's basically a wall of dead pine branches blocking a straight approach. Hole 9's fairway is starting to be taken back by the forest off the tee. Definitely needs a trim.

Other Thoughts:

This one was alright I guess. It had a few cool holes but there were too many head scratching areas to rate it any higher than I did. Play it if you have to bag it, otherwise i'd just play one of the other courses in the area. All of which I liked better than this one. Wolf River is about equal to here. The rest are better.

I'm sure I'll have to play it again since the wife didn't get to play it. I won't be looking forward to it. Hopefully the forest doesn't take over anymore by then, I doubt it though.

Pros:

This course is in a nice little woods with the last few holes running long the river and it's very scenic. There are nice wooden sign posts and the baskets have next tee signs on them.

Cons:

Most of the holes don't have the fairways completed yet and a lot of work needs to be done here to make it playable. Most of the holes in the woods do not have a line to the basket, and this is coming from someone who plays mostly woods courses.

Other Thoughts:

Wait to play this until it has had some more work done on it.
