Pros:
- Course is in an RV Park, but is free to play to the general public, park by the RV cabin entrance! Thanks to the owners for letting the public play, that was unexpected!
- New baskets in great shape.
- Fun bunch of short Par 3 holes (150' - 200' for the most part with a couple of longer ones) with a bunch of ace runs and some nice use of elevation.
- For the most part there were clear lines open to a variety of approaches, good balance of forehand and backhand friendly holes.
- Couple of unique holes with a bit of challenge to them, but overall not a difficult course. A 900+ rated player will likely get close to double digits under par type thing.
Cons:
- Parking might be awkward if the place is busy but the people at the entrance were super friendly (you don't have to go in and talk to them but we did just to make sure).
- Pads are just framed in and pretty short, though in fairness you don't really need run-ups on any of the drives.
Other Thoughts:
- No longer holes, you can park your drivers for the most part, this is a short Par 3 course. The public Whistler course on the north end of town offers longer holes and the freedom to mix up tee pads if that's what you're looking for.
- Not the best for a cart or people with mobility issues, but not as bad as the other Whistler course or Pemberton.
- It's been a couple of weeks since I've played it and for some reason I can't remember how the signage was, but I know we didn't have uDisc or a course map picture and it was very easy to navigate, no issues on that front.
