Pros:
Good course for beginners.
Distance is not too challenging but trees and other obstacles provide a good amount of difficulty

Cons:
Tee pads are tiny stones that mark the beginning of each hole. Once you figure this out it is easy to follow course.
Bring a map to easily follow holes.
Campus will sometimes have trash on it.

Started playing on this course and grew to love it. Really good for beginners and can quickly play it once through for 9 holes or twice through to make 18

Ringing chains and bells 2+ years

Pros:
The nine brand-spanking new DisCatcher baskets on the Wilmington campus ring out nicely in the spring air to complement the campus bell tower, and set the tone (so to speak) for an enjoyable, quick loop for students, faculty, and alumni of the college. Set in and amongst the rolling, landscaped, mature, park trees and lawns, the designated shots range from 190 foot ace runs to a demanding choice of uphill lines ranging as far as 370 feet (with an OB sidewalk just 15 feet past the basket). So the skill set needed to really conquer the course runs to an Intermediate level, but the course is enjoyable for all.
The course makes for a nice loop, starting and finishing by the Pyle Student Center. Eric's design takes advantage of the elevations as best as possible, with a couple of sloping greens, and lots of fun lines through the campus trees. The terrain handles water impressively well, and the campus landscaping, maintenance, and scenery is really pretty. Ought to be especially scenic here this spring.

Cons:
Situated right on campus, there are obviously places throughout where you'll need to be careful of pedestrians. Holes 1, 2, 3, 5, (7) and 9 all have sidewalks in range, and there are some Adirondack chairs in the middle of campus where folks move them around for shade or sun. This might become an issue on hole 9, in particular.
As the course has JUST opened, the initial markings for tees were done in spray paint, and have faded with the weather. Until signage plans are finalized, first time players may need to check out the map and pictures on here before a visit, and throw from the nearest likely sidewalk (making it a little bit of safari fun).
While almost all holes lead efficiently to the next, there are two unavoidable, short walks (from 1 to 2, and from 8 to 9) required to use the space in the best possible way, and still get the loop to 'close' at the student center.

At this point, the college administration is more than willing to let visitors come and play the course...and they do notice it's getting some use. It's important for us to play there respectfully and carefully. Ideally, visitors will check in at the Pyle Student Center to let them know you're there. Also, ideally look to schedule your round around the class breaks, when the sidewalks will be full of students. Don't throw if your worst mistake could cause a problem.
Hole by hole: Park in the public lot on the east side of Quaker Way, cross the street and say hello at the student center, then go to the 1st tee on the sidewalk facing north alongside the bell tower. Go ahead and ace that level, 190 footer. Walk to the right around Denver Hall to the greenspace just to the north, and make your 2nd tee shot sneak through the branches to the basket on the slope beside the pine. Walk to your right, through the gate and throw the 3rd back through, slightly uphill, beyond the lamp post. Hole 4 tees from the corner of the sidewalk, toward Fife Ave, with trees determining your line, and with a slight down slope beyond the basket. Hole 5 plays long and up slope, with lots of timber to frustrate your effort, and a sidewalk just past the pin that you should play as OB. 6 plays from about 70 feet north of the sidewalk down the slope, with another sloping 'green'. Walk to the sidewalk all the way at the entrance to campus for hole 7's rip, then to the right for the double mando, ace run 8th. Circle the admissions building (Campus Hall) to tee off beside the bell tower (Goodman Carillon), through a challenging lane of trees to the 9th basket in front of the student center.
