Pros:
The course is set upon an peninsula in the Wister Lake State Park. There is a nice course map at the start of the course, each hole has a decent sign with distance and a bit of a diagram.(You can see the basket on every teepad.(Kind of a con) The course does offer some distance change with a short 190' ace run to a 420' bomber. Each hole as a concrete toe board embedded in the ground to signify the end of the tee. Also, with the course being set on a hillside there is a bit of elevation in play too. Course flows well and can be played in timely matter(took me 25 minutes solo).
Cons:
The course is fairly open has some trees in play but an errant shot is never punished and a recovery shot can be made with ease. The course itself plays around a Picnic area/ Hillside, i could see some interference with other park goers during the nicer times of the year. The baskets although hand-made caught rather well and were nicely designed(not considered much of a con). Tee pads were natural, with time they will erode.
Other Thoughts:
This courses is a basic beginner course nothing special or challenging but its a place play and if i was in the area i would totally hit up the course. I traveled from Paris, TX just to get some extra courses in on my month long DG voyage back to Wisco.
