Pros:
This is designed to be a course that someone new the game could take a stroll on and enjoy themselves. It is designed to be in the range of a typical family to enjoy, while not on the playground or another amenity at the park.
The tee pads are well marked and the flow of the course is good
Its nine holes are all possible birdies, with no throw much above 350, with generally clear lines and only few guardian trees.
Readily played with a single mid or a putter.
Cons:
The pros are also the cons. It would be wise to look elsewhere for technical challenges or serious range. I think that the tees are slightly too close to one another and it is more possible for errant throws to get in range of other players than it should be for a beginner's course.
Other Thoughts:
If DGCR had a "course intent" breakout, where you could specify the type of course and rate it accordingly, this would be a 3.5-4 beginner's course. The only failing in this course as this type is the closeness of the pads.
If you're looking for your next technical challenge, this probably isn't the course for you. If you're looking for a quiet 9 on the way home for work to get a half mile walk, or you want to try this thing that your crazy coworker's been talking about, this is a good stop.
