USDGC Updates

I don´t really mind the "massage" but i still thought you needed more of a collared polo like Paige is wearing in a mayor. . that a T-shirt without a collar was not allowed

there's also:

No tee shirts will be allowed, except for competitors in the Junior and Amateur divisions during preliminary rounds. Juniors and Amateurs shall not wear tee shirts during semifinal or final rounds. Crew neck or v-neck shirts made of high-performance or high-tech materials, such as Dry-Fit, Cool-Max, and others will be allowed.

Paige is 1st in OB rate. . she has the least amount of OBs in the entire field. . Paige?!

Paige not throwing lot´s of OB is trouble for everyone else

Odd par on hole 10...13 Eagles !!. . 34% of the field made an Eagle on the hole

every decision with shorter tees, changing par, etc made sense....except hole 10.

the long tee is a great par 4 for the women. I wasn't sure why they pushed it up to the drop zone.

What the hell happened to former USDGC champion Will Schusterick? He's not been performing well at any event in the past year or 2

He tore something in his shoulder. That messed up his putt. If you go through the whole story it's amazing that he is playing as well as he is.

Hole 9 averaged 1 OB penalty (plus some distance) per player so its par should at least be 5 with a 1-shot penalty to be expected even with 4 decent throws. (Or fix the hole?)

Any idea when the men's live stream fires up? I skimmed the site and just saw the first men's tee time of like 10ish, didn't see a time for the next piece of live coverage but could've missed it.

Hannah and JK did a good job, a few long silent moments, , i like that. . not "talk all the time Doss"

you don´t need to talk 4h straight

I like this methodolgy too. It gives you time to watch and digest what is happening.

If you're logged in it looks like about six minutes till something happens. Or it's counting down.

They did let the action speak for itself at times, that can be hard for announcers to do, especially rookies.
They seemed like they had done this before. Their back and forth was natural and Hannah no longer has traces of her accent. She was well prepared but not overly serious when she was on in years past but this was def her most 'professional' performace IMHO.

I'd like to see Climo stop by the booth for a bit if he's at Winthrop. He and Hannah were the most entertaining part of last year's broadcast.

I will certainly be tuning in the rest of the WNC, they def add something to the broadcast.

:clap::clap:

Double G took a 4 on hole 1 (249 ft) and a 3 on hole 13 (999 ft). It's funny how that happens.

I bet the tourney winner is 10 strokes better, without looking at scores from last year.

Conrad won with -19 last year. Barela shot a -13, McBeth and Eagle -12 in round 1. If conditions stay good I am expecting at least -30 to take it. There is some rain forecast on Saturday/ You never know though.

I know Ian gets alot of kred as just a "regular guy with a mic" but they really should have had someone more professional to compliment Philo. Ian is simply the wrong man for the job. I hope they consider putting Nate in the booth in later rounds. With that said I think Hannah did a good job, but wow... Juliana Korver was very good imop, I would have no problem with her in the booth for both FPO and MPO. Video production was very good, sound levels bounced around especially with Philo, but the broadcast is off to a good start overall.

Simon...To me it seems his mental game has never grown to compliment his technical abilities. Like Philo said "if Simon wants to play golf..look out" or something like that. lol..

Simon his problem is he can't focus, he is mentally there just his focus he loses concentration or ability to concentrate at points and seems to not be thinking, on autopilot during a round.
