How does the Elite Pro compare to the Elite-X they use today? Marshall St. has a black one I'm kinda interested in.

Hard to say. Elite Pro and Elite X are similar, but the Elite Pro's were more durable had a better grip to them.elite-z feels like innova star plastic to me
elite-x is harder
elite pro is gummy like an innova 11x firebird
hopefully others agree with this ^^
To summarize...IMO the Elite Pro's generally were a tick more stable, were more durable and had a better grip.
Elite X seems harder maybe? Maybe slicker? Really, I have always said the Elite X feels more plasticy, which is a completely stupid thing to say because it's all plastic but it makes sense in my head. Really I think I mean it feels like cheaper plastic when compared to the Elite Pro.
I might. I also have an old DX Panther I was going to PM you about. The thing still ticks me off. I was keeping score and at the end of the round I was adding up the card. I had the Panther under the card to make it easier to write on. So I passed around the card for everyone to check and initial and left the Panther underneath. This tool had a bad round so when he signed the card he slammed the pencil into it...and right through the flight plate of the Panther. So it has this pinhole in the flight plate about the size of a pencil lead. It's technically illegal now, but if you want it for casual rounds it still flies fine. I dug it out the other day and remembered you had been looking for Panthers. At least I think it was you. If it was somebody else just ignore me.
I had not thought to compare the two, but you have a point. Neither Elite X or ESP is a match for Elite Pro, but you could consider it kinda in the middle of the two.actually, i just grabbed a surge ESP, and it feels the most (grip and elasticity) like an elite pro. so there you go.

So what you're are saying is that an ESP XL would probably be very similar to the Elite Pro? I do have to admit that even if that's true, I like how the ones you 2 posted look a lot better.
just talking about the grip and elasticity. i've never thrown an ESP XL so i cant compare them. we all know how much different plastic will make a disc have a completely different throw.
I should have checked my organizer before I opened my mouth. My wife sold a bunch of my discs on ebay without my knowledge a few years back
