    North GA - Talullah Falls

Gonna be heading to Talullah Gorge for some hiking in a couple months, seeing which courses I should play that are around the area. This one seems to be the best and is only 10 miles away, any recommendations are appreciated: https://www.dgcoursereview.com/course.php?id=8796 -Quentin

Review by pickupman92 in course River City Nature Park - Barwick

4.00 star(s) great wooded course tight wooded fairways, , good tunnels, but enough room to hit different lines. Canopy is really high up, so kudus to the club for keeping the fairways trimmed. Benches to rest on almost every hole, GREAT! good mix of woods and a couple bomber holes as well. Unfortunately...

Review by pickupman92 in course Hidden Waters Preserve

2.50 star(s) Much to be desired Long tight fairways, solid teepads had potential to be a decent Elevation is a problem. many times I slipped on leaves etc coming down or going up. If effort were put into the walkways as they were to the teepads, it would be much better. Just too long. Having to hit a...

    qualifications for hosting a tournament

wanted to edit my post... couldn't. I believe they want an easy way for people to fill out the questionnaire for the bid. example: 15 courses/clubs fill out this questionnaire, the answers go to the board via email, then they can sort through and see which courses/clubs are the "best" and then...

    qualifications for hosting a tournament

I believe they are creating a championship "series" for the state. Thanks for the additional information though, I'm completely new to this tournament stuff, I wish they would have had more information they wanted on this form. Cgkdisc, thanks for the links, I will definitely check them out.

    qualifications for hosting a tournament

Hey Everyone, A local state board has asked me to come up with a questionnaire about hosting an event. Essentially I'm creating an online form for clubs/courses to fill out to answer so they can be in the running for an event, the best answers get qualified and then a second round of in...

    Advice needed - cheap baskets

Just happen to come across this tonight: https://www.vminnovations.com/Product_80449/InStep-Portable-Frisbee-Golf-Basket-With-12-Discs-4-Goals-.html Comes out to $72 a piece... not too bad. Could always go with the DD marksman baskets as well, they look really nice, only 160.

    Shoe recommendations for wide feet

I don't know the model #, but I wear New Balance 10.5 4E and I found a leather pair of them and I just coated the hell out of them with water repellent. Took about 6-7 coats, but I've stepped in mud before and once I got to the next teepad... completely gone from my shoe. Just find a good...

Well, I did some work this Saturday. 4 more benches and a bridge. If anyone needs plans, I can post them, pretty simple.

    benches and bridges

Thanks, the wood is really sturdy, but since big guys like myself might be sitting in them, there's easily 50 screws per bench to make sure they are solid. I'm glad the club was able to chip in and get some screws. I'll post more pics when I make more this week/weekend.
