(2.304 Rating) A mostly technical woods course with a few park style holes to start off.
- REC FRIENDLY - This is the type of course that recreational players enjoy. A majority of the holes can be birdied with 250 foot power or less. Holes break both ways and bad misses won't ever end up in water. Those that like short woods courses may actually like this track more than the short layout over at the nearby Savannah course.
- NATURAL BEAUTY - I went with 50 percentile on my spreadsheet, but this number could get better if the woods were tidied up better.
- BASKETS AND TEES. - The basic core items are about average. Dynamic Veterans were chosen as the basket and the tees are concrete and measured 5 feet by 10 feet.
- NAVIGATION AND SIGNAGE - I had read that this aspect was not good and it probably wasn't. However by fall 2021 and my visit, I'd say it wasn't half bad. I wouldn't use words like great or superb navigation, but words like doable and reasonable would suffice. First off, big course map posted by tee (1). It'll give players a general idea on where to go if they question their next move, but it's a little off in the woods section of the map. The part that help me the most was the next tee direction on the nice looking tee signs. Players that don't observe this key navigational item may struggle in spots and arrive at the wrong tee on occasion. Tee signs were missing on holes (4) and (5) for my visit.
- QUICK PLAY - As long as one doesn't get turned around, this course can be tackled quickly. As a solo, I was done in 40 minutes.

A decent course that some higher skilled players won't prefer due to the shorter than normal holes.
- OVERGROWTH - I had read that this course can get dicey to play in the summer. By my late November play, the weeds and vines were still evident off fairway, but they were effectively frozen dead. I could see summertime conditions not being the greatest here as getting big equipment on some of these fairways may not be possible. In addition, there was a lot of tree death off fairway and a few times on fairway. Much off this had been chainsawed up, but new stuff appears to have fallen.
- THREE RAISED BASKETS - One artificially raised basket on a course is fine if done correctly. Two is questionable. Three of them is downright gimmicky. I didn't feel there was any value added by introducing this aspect to the course. I've seen it done right before, just not here.
- LACK OF ADVANCED CHALLENGE - Players that throw 400 feet or have a plus 930 player rating, likely won't enjoy this course. After hole (5), it's basically putter runs or short moving lines. I personally had an ok time as I like technical woods play, but too many holes had a deuce or die feel to them.
- HOLE VARIETY - As noted previously, this is a mostly wooded short technical course. Hole (6) thru (17) all had a similar feel to it. The first five are park style holes and (18) is the one long wooded hole with a questionable line to get to the basket clean. No par 4s, no water elements and elevation maxes out at 20 feet. If I had to put a number on it, I'd say the hole variety is 40 percentile.
- NO EXTRAS - Beyond the basics there are no on course extras here yet. Zero benches, unless one counts the stone sign behind tee (2). No alt basket locations and no multi-tees. Off the course there are shelters and restrooms that I wish had toilet paper stocked for my visit.

I sort-of liked it. I enjoyed the birdie opportunities and the short technical ace potential. If I lived in the area, I could see myself splitting play time in the winter between here and the savannah course. Definitely worth checking out one time if you find yourself in the area and you enjoy woods courses. Not a regional destination like Savannah, but a decent bonus if there's enough time to play two courses. Overall this one felt like a low 2.5 with the potential to make a 3.0 with a lot of elbow grease and some hole tweaks.

Concrete pads, signs, easy to find park.

Course is in really bad shape. Cut trees litter the wooded section of the course with cut logs and branches under foot. A great place to break a leg or ankle. Now that the trees have been cut the weeds are taking over. Also there were three baskets that are missing or we never found 9, 13, 15. Lots of piles of wood. Some of the holes play too close or into other holes.

With a lot of work, a bull dozer, half a million gallons of weed killer and some grass seed could bring this course into shape.

Great concrete tee pads, tee signs and new DD Veterans baskets. Bathrooms are conveniently located. A good variety of shots and heavily wooded for the most part. Mostly putter and mid shots but a great variety of lines to hit.

Needs some clean up after recent clearing of brush and needs more playing to get it worked in but that's normal for any newly installed course in the woods.

The course is a tad confusing finding the next tee at times but wasn't too bad, walked to the wrong tee a couple of times. Some next tee signs or a directional arrow would solve this issue.

I think once this course gets signs and the fairways get beat in, it will become a short, fun technical course.
