Pros:
Tee pads on almost every hole, a few of them are even big enough
Nice DD Vet baskets
Just $5 for a parking permit
Plenty of parking
Cons:
No course map, although the course was pretty easy to follow.
No tee signs, this one is a little tougher because a couple of holes do not have tee pads.
Other Thoughts:
Oh, give me a course, where the Prairie Dogs roam
Where the pro's and the amateur's play
Where seldom is heard, a discouraging' word
of a disc golfer missing a putt
Home home on the range
Where the fairways are mowed all the way
Where seldom is heard, a discouraging word
And the skies are not cloudy all day
Ok, I will stop.
Biggest issue with this course is it is mostly open, mowed fairways with thick rough and NO TEE SIGNS.
The holes are pretty good for the most part, the ones that do have tree's or elevation use it well.
I rated this higher than a 3 but not a 4 because it's not that great of a course, but it does not totally suck either.
As far as State Park courses, it's a decent one for Kansas.
Would I play here again? I don't think so, I would not go out of my way to play here again. I do think the course in town is a little more interesting although this one might be the better course.
BTW, I did not see any Prairie Dogs, they are not in the course area if there are any. I didn't really look to see if there was a prairie dog town. Guess you have to play Lawton OK to see them. (or visit the prairie dog town in Mackenzie Park Lubbock TX.
