Don't bother 2+ years drive by

Reviewed: Played on:May 18, 2013 Played the course:once

Pros:

Course has some potential.

Cons:

No tees, no signage. no course maintenance. Overgrown grass.

Other Thoughts:

If any of the locals spent some time with some improvements of this course it could be worth the trip while your in town. Elevation changes and challenging hole locations next to the river. The way this course is, it is not worth your time.

Lions Club Course 2+ years drive by

Reviewed: Played on:Sep 16, 2009 Played the course:2-4 times

Pros:

When Lava is busy this course doesn't have all the people traffic that the other course has. It makes good use of the ledge that runs through the course. There is a walking path around the course and it has new baskets.

Cons:

- No tee pads
- No signs
- Short
- Some holes cross over others
- Without a map its really difficult to navigate (see below for map info)

Other Thoughts:

There is a shop on Main St. called "Mountain Mayhem" that sells Innova Discs and has good color maps for the Lava courses. Look for the Innova sign in the window. The maps make playing the courses much easier.

Lava is a great town where you can camp, float the river, and enjoy the hot springs. Add a round of disc golf to that and you have a great weekend. The course is short and simple. If you want a challenge then cruise about 20 minutes east and play 18 holes at Soda Springs while you are in the area.
