Great views, fun course

Reviewed: Updated: Played on:Oct 27, 2023 Played the course:once

Pros:

- Concrete tee pads and metal tee signs
- Discatcher baskets in great condition
- Navigation is fairly easy
- Half park, half wooded course
- Tight woods helps a short course
- Amazing view of the town and Utah Lake

Cons:

- Tee pads are dirt
- Course is built for newer players/lacks distance
- Slightly favors LHBH or RHFH players
- Plays down walking/biking paths
- Very little parking

Other Thoughts:

I played it today and the area recently got a few inches of snow. It was fun even with cold, wet hands and wet shoes. It's a bit out of the way from the freeway or Provo/Salt Lake but worth the extra effort to play this fun, wooded course.

9 hole with a View 2+ years drive by

Reviewed: Played on:Jun 2, 2018 Played the course:once

Pros:

Good 9 hole course with great view over looking Utah lake.
It's a short 9 hole course in a nice park. When I was there there was not a soul in the park. Has great signage and good baskets.

Hole 1 is just a pretty much open shot at 270 ft.
Hole 2 Straight shot or slight anhyzer will work on the right you have a playground and gazebo
Hole 3-6 All short wood shots. Very tight oak scrub
Hole 7 Is the longest shot at 342Ft basket to the right. Throw down the pathway basket is tucked in some trees.
Hole 8 Uphill shot
Hole 9 Straight shot with a little hyzer there is a tree right in your way.

Cons:

Hole 6 sign was missing.
When is gets busy parking might be an issue.
I don't know how busy the park gets in the summer time. It looks like a hidden neighbor hood park, if the park is really busy will make it very hard to throw disc with kids running around.

Other Thoughts:

You might need a map to help with hole 3-6 everything else is pretty to find.
Great beginner course also good course to help you with wooded shots if your are not used to wooded areas.

Pretty much all shots are mid range or putter. Maybe fairway driver or two.

This course reminds me of Payson DGC.

Good little course.

Short and Technical 2+ years drive by

Reviewed: Played on:Jul 1, 2016 Played the course:once

Pros:

Some tight tunnels and some mostly open holes. Hole 8 is an uphill throw. This makes for good variety.
Gorgeous view from the park (especially hole 8).
Well mapped and signed (except that hole 6 is missing the sign). Easy to follow.
The wooded areas are easily traversed and easy to find discs in.

Cons:

Almost entirely short holes (hole 7 is the only one over 300 feet).
Watch out for animal feces.

Other Thoughts:

Holes 3-6 are extremely tight tunnels with a turn. Despite being short (120 feet or so), these holes are challenging. Good throws result in easy birdies, but bad throws make bogeys likely. Excellent place to practice accuracy.
