Don't bother, disapponting

Reviewed: Played on:Jun 26, 2022 Played the course:once

Pros:

Nice piece of land with large mature pecan & oak trees
Concrete tee pads are in good shape & nice size
Best utilized as random practice holes

Cons:

No tee signs on any hole (and there never have been)
No course map at 1st tee (never had one)
Baskets are not numbered (never have been it appears)
Overgrown creek running thru course makes 2 or 3 holes unplayable (10-12 foot tall weeds & brush block path for your shot) see photos holes 2 and 4.

Other Thoughts:

My experience was much different than the other reviews of this course. You can easily tell that no maintenance has been done since opening, sad because there's so much potential here for a nice 9 holer. It's like 9 concrete tees were poured & 9 baskets were put in the ground and then they just walked away from it - nothing else has been done to the course since then. 4.5 years after opening and there are still no tee signs or basic things like that.

Great for a quick round 2+ years drive by

Reviewed: Played on:Jan 4, 2021 Played the course:once

Pros:

I really enjoyed playing this course. It was perfect for a beginner like myself. The deep ravines make for some pretty fun and interesting shots. I put four discs in them and it wasn't too difficult to get them out.
I will definitely play here again!

Cons:

It just rained a few days before I played, so there was a lot of trash that washed in, but it all stayed in the ravines.
The park could use markers for the tee boxes and a map. I connected with some local disc golfers who showed me the course (socially distanced of course!) and how to play some of the holes.

Great short course 2+ years drive by

Reviewed: Played on:Jul 30, 2019 Played the course:5+ times

Pros:

Fun course to play quickly. Definitely has some nice distance accuracy challenges.

Cons:

only 9 holes. Adding another tee on a few of the holes to make it a different 9 if you go around twice for 18 would be great

Not the Beast 2+ years

Reviewed: Played on:Apr 29, 2018 Played the course:once

Pros:

Large cement tee pads
Plenty of parking near hole one
Nice use of the land
Long and short tee for hole 6

Cons:

No tee signs (yet)

Other Thoughts:

Not a big park, but it does have a creek running though it giving it some elevation change.

You park on the east side of the rec center, hole one tees off near the basket ball court throwing towards a wash with the road off to the right. Pretty open hole, but fun to throw.

Hole 2 has make a choice, ace run between the tree's with straight shot, or short skip hyzer either left or right. The basket is located right above a drop off for the wash. If your short, you have a tough putt from below the basket. (yea, I was in that ditch)

Hole 3 is a longer hole with some trees making the right handed hyzer shot tough. For a right handed person, throwing the more open turnover shot runs the risk of falling off left into the creek.

Hole 4 is a nice little birdie opportunity, however don't be left of this basket, you have the drop off to the creek and a few trees to the left side of this basket.

Hole 5, longest hole on the course, throws down between the creek and road. There are a couple of tree's about 3/4 of the way down the fairway you need to avoid.

Hole 6 Has 2 tee's, the longer tee has you throwing across the creek and up above a small concrete ledge to the basket. Hit is not a long throw, but fun. The short tee is a pitch and put shot for those that might not be able to clear the creek from the other shot. (figures I would throw both of these and was closer from the longer tee than I was from the short tee)

Hole 7 is a little longer than it looks, throw down past a few large tree's near an old picnic table.

Hole 8 throws back up and has a nice natural turnover fairway.

Hole 9 is a fun hole, you walk back and down into the creek bank and throw up the wash to the basket. You have 2 lines here, one turnover and one slight hyzer.

This is a well designed neighborhood course. Not too long, and not too short. Nice mix of holes with some interesting shots.

On a Sunday around 1pm, there were actually several people out on the course.

You have 2 GREAT courses in town, this is a great shorter course to take people to so they don't get intimidated by the harder courses just down the street.

Would I play here again?

Well, yes and no. I did like the course, but to be honest, unless I am pressed for time and can't play 18, I am heading over to Cameron Park.

Very nice 9-hole course 2+ years

Reviewed: Played on:Apr 14, 2018 Played the course:once

Pros:

-- Excellent use the available land.
-- Lots of elevation change, including a ravine/ditch you throw over (or around if you bail out) on No. 2.
-- Water in play on several holes, including throwing over water and baskets placed that approaches are in danger of getting wet.
-- Next door to a rec center, but I didn't see any non-disc golfers on the course.
-- Nice tee pads.
-- Nice variety of holes (mostly on the shorter side for distance, RHBH, LHBH) with different routes available on several holes.
-- Tree, while not overly abundant, are well used.

Cons:

-- Only 9 holes.
-- No tee signs. Given that this is a new course, I hope this will be addressed soon.
-- No truly long holes.
-- No truly technical shots.

Other Thoughts:

-- For a 9-hole course, this is great! There is a rec center building on site, but I did not go inside to see about restrooms or find out hours. Hole 1 tees off near the basketball courts and the course flows counter clock wise around the park and ends near where you started.
