Tiger Woods Wii hits stores tomorrow

This game looks incredible! The only thing that's missing are name brand discs, from what i've seen they just have standard driver, midrange, and putter. I was just talking to my brother about the possibility of a DG game on Wii and how awesome it could be. I have very high hopes for this one!

Who listens to music while DGing?

If I'm practicing by myself I listen to my Ipod, mainly Punk Rock like NOFX, Rancid, Lower Class Brats, Dead Kennedys, etc. But if I am with a group of friends and the course is generally empty I will bring my backpack with built-in speakers and jam out. The great thing about DG is that it isn't...

    winter month putting?

I am constantly notorious for botching putts. Try sticking some chewing gum to the edge of your putter! (unless you're in a tourney) ;)

Please add BlackJax to manufacture list

I actually threw the ace driver in the bathtub to see if it would float/not screw up the electronics. It floats right on top and the lights never turned off or flickered...so it seems to be legit!

Please add BlackJax to manufacture list

I just purchased two blackjax Axe light up disc golf drivers. The company is new and is waiting for approval from the PDGA, but I threw them today and they fly like any overstable Innova driver if not better. Has anyone else tried these out? They are perfect for night play and also float in...

Hey I'm from Denton but I play Lewisville Lake all the time. I liked your limericks, and being a poet myself, tried to come up with one of my own.

    Disc Golf Limericks

An elder disc'r told once a fable Of a disc so overstable That when tossed quite violently It could hook, and slice through a tree And if thrown by mighty Thor T'would exit orbit, seen nevermore

You know you're addicted to DG when...

...When you start programming a real 3D disc golf game because the flash games on the internet really suck! (think about how fun it would be if someone would make a Nintendo Wii DG game!)

    Collegiate Disc Golf

Good article. I go to University of North Texas and am going to start trying to get an intramural league started. I already have a group on campus, but were just a Libertarian nerd club. Most of the fellows in the group play on a regular basis and the local courses are always packed with...

    [Other] Lightning Discs

Although lightning discs are cheaper than most, the plastic seems to dent inward when it hits a tree or another object. I've got a #1 driver that isn't 2 months old and already looks like it has been chewed on by a giant. I wouldn't recommend them except for the Rollers.

    Best Disc Golf State

Texas has so many DG courses it is ridiculous! You would be surprised at how gorgeous some of them are as well. I don't know if its the best state for DG but I know it has the most variety. Also, playing in the winter is perfect unless it is overly windy. Although, if you're a fan of white snow...

Review by obryn in course North Lake Park - Old Layout

3.50 star(s) Very fun course! Beautiful scenery by a lake that doesn't interfere much with play. Wide open holes for driver practice. A community athletics center with vending machines, water fountains, and clean restrooms is located near the 11th hole. There is also a golf pro-shop by the community center...

Review by obryn in course Andrew Brown Park

1.00 star(s) Frusterating. The multiple ponds offer good aesthetic value near sunset. Where to start, where to start... Every time I come out here I lose a disc. Almost every hole is near a pond. And by near I mean directly parallel, on the shoreline. A few holes directly intersect with the two baseball...

Review by obryn in course Lenard L. Woods Park

3.00 star(s) good for novices, or for practicing Almost every tee is concrete and easy to find. Baskets from most tees are directly ahead and in plain view. This makes it easy for new players to find their way around. Green scenery is aesthetic and well maintained. Many holes are long and wide open. You can...
